She. Is. Mustard.

There is a saying in Ireland about people being 'mustard'. Its hard to describe what it means, but you know when someone is being it. And Martha is.
I could use these legs as dental floss!

Treat her like a thoroughbred and she won't be a nag.

We've had a sick few days and nights here so today has been the first I've really had Martha out the door. We headed up to beautiful Strangford to see lovely Lucy, our dear friend who is living in Oz at the minute, and is just home for christmas. Lucy lives in a fantastic house, with lots of land around, I didn't think Martha would be up for heading out so we didin't bring big Roo, (who usually would come and play with/torture Lucy's dogs) but contrary as ever, she was. So we did.

An afternoon at Broadwater Cottage

Today Martha and I took a drive to see her Uncle Dave, he (like me) loves old characterful houses and lives in a gorgeous wee cottage not too far from us, with his two cats Bonzo (John Bonham) and Mazzy (Mazzy Star). I was pretty horrified today to find out his wee home might be being tore down if planning permission goes ahead in April for a new modern monstrosity of a thing.
Martha had a great time, getting stuffed with Auntie Pam's choccy cake and chasing poor Bonzo and Mazzy around.
In her little knit jumper next to the cottages wonky walls, i think these might be the most irish looking photo's i've ever taken.

Christmas Clothes

How cute is Martha in her wee christmas outfit? Its not often she wears a dress, but I think she looks lovely in it.
It obviously hasn't made her any more couth tho.

Happy new year!

That Vintage Vibe

Martha took big Roo out for her walk today in her snazzy new cardigan that she got from auntie Cathers (Jacks mum) . Thankfully it was warm enough to take her coat off for a bit to get a few photos in it, I would have loved to have her in her wee high tops, but we were at Lady Dickson and its a real 'muck hole'. I've tried to make these photos more vintage looking, in keeping with her cardi.

Ive never wanted to kiss anyones lips so much.

' 'mon Roo, we'll see these 'uns again'

Me and Mrs Claus

Seems I've been on a little blogging break, I hadn't realised. Today, Martha and Jack took themselves off to Brookhall Farm, to visit Santa's village, they were spposed to be joining a tour with other kids but Mrs. Clause called to say we were the only ones on it and would we like to re-shedule, em, NO.
So imagine my suprise when Martha (who took nay on a year and a half to cuddle me) took Mrs. C by the hand and sauntered off with her!
It really was fantastic there, will defs go back next year.
Although Martha and Jack seemed to have the most fun sitting on a telegraph poll and yelling for tractors.

who's this clown?

Funny gal

I very rarely photograph Martha in the studio, i could probably count on one hand the number of times i have, but i wanted to try getting some photos where she wasnt bundled up in a coat and hat. The result? See for yourself....
