Bath, Bed and...back up again!

Unfortunately my wee woman is stuffed with the cold and cough, (maybe something to do with me dragging her out in the snow in inappropriate footwear?) and I've been flat out working all weekend, so I feel pretty rotten for her. Wee mite. She was a bit brghter tonight so we had a little photoshoot as she got ready for bed, I've had to photoshop out her runny nose and red eyes, she stil looks heavy and pale tho. Ach bless her. Wouldn't go to bed tho the wee tinker, kept getting back up and asking for stories, I gave in to try and absolve some of the guilt I feel for working all weekend!

sNOw Angel.

Look at these photo's, doesn't it look lovely and romantically snowy, and that  we are frolicking and having a really good time? Well we weren't. It all started off well, only about 15 minutes in I made the fatal mistake of asking Martha if her toes were cold, she realised they were and had a total MELTDOWN about it, I'd been up since 4am myself and started getting what is affectionately known as ' Red Mist' in our house, so I marched herself and Big Roo back to the car, (with Martha crying about wanting to go back to the car, the whole way) my own toes aching from the cold too. And here was me just trying to make memories.
Anyway, think I need to invest in some warmer boots for us both. Lesson learnt.
Big Roo was suprisingly well behaved the whole time though. Atta Girl Rooster.x

This sucks, I'm going back to the car.

Snow at last!

The weather has been threatening/promising snow here since before Christmas, and today, finally it arrived! Hooray, we didn't have a lot of  time to get photo's as the light was fading fast, but we managed to nip out and try and catch a few flakes on our tongues. Hopefully it will snow like mad tonight and we can get out tomorrow for a play and some photo's in it. Can I also draw your attention to Martha's awesome jumper that my friend bought on ebay for her son, and then found it a bit girly when it arrived. Score!  It did cause a slight argument though, Martha insists it's Timmy (of Timmy Time) on it while her chum Jago thinks its Shaun the Sheep. What do you think?

Cozy Knitwear

Check out this jumper Martha's GREAT (as in her daddy's) gran knit her for Christmas. I was pretty blown away by how awesome it is! She loves it too. Also this post see's the first appearance of Big Roo if I'm not mistaken. I have quite an archive of failed attempts of getting a decent picture of the two of them together.

Look at her breath!

Kind of cute, kind of creepy!

She. Is. Mustard.

There is a saying in Ireland about people being 'mustard'. Its hard to describe what it means, but you know when someone is being it. And Martha is.
I could use these legs as dental floss!

Treat her like a thoroughbred and she won't be a nag.

We've had a sick few days and nights here so today has been the first I've really had Martha out the door. We headed up to beautiful Strangford to see lovely Lucy, our dear friend who is living in Oz at the minute, and is just home for christmas. Lucy lives in a fantastic house, with lots of land around, I didn't think Martha would be up for heading out so we didin't bring big Roo, (who usually would come and play with/torture Lucy's dogs) but contrary as ever, she was. So we did.

An afternoon at Broadwater Cottage

Today Martha and I took a drive to see her Uncle Dave, he (like me) loves old characterful houses and lives in a gorgeous wee cottage not too far from us, with his two cats Bonzo (John Bonham) and Mazzy (Mazzy Star). I was pretty horrified today to find out his wee home might be being tore down if planning permission goes ahead in April for a new modern monstrosity of a thing.
Martha had a great time, getting stuffed with Auntie Pam's choccy cake and chasing poor Bonzo and Mazzy around.
In her little knit jumper next to the cottages wonky walls, i think these might be the most irish looking photo's i've ever taken.
